I have been hearing from so many of you who grew up watching him play and agree that he deserves this honor. Seeing the support grow for renaming Highway 99 reminds me why I started this project in the first place.

Seeing this momentum grow confirms that I am not the only one who sees the perfect fit for this name change. It means the world to see so many people backing this tribute to someone who gave his heart to our city.

JJ is a legend in Houston honestly he deserves it more than anyone else around here.
99 is his number so it just makes sense. let's get this done already.
When you give directions you can say, "Take the JJ."
Better than named something for a poltician.
this is needed to show the rest of the U.S. how Texans roll.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy! A person that has always given back to the people of Houston and surrounding areas.
