SAU Lockdown -Jimmy Gaines- made a mistake, faces possible 3 year jail sentence! MUST read, Sign The Petition today!

It would be a crime if jimmy were to serve time for an innocent comment he made about how difficult it was for him to get SAU to release his transcripts to another school.

People make jokes like that everyday. The FBI already knows it's not a matter of concern. He does not deserve to go to jail because he said something he didn't mean to the wrong people.

i think the court is being too much, he should not go to jail plus he's been trying his hardest in going to university and graduating.

From what I have read, it seems like Gaines made a bad mistake, but is not dangerous to anyone. I am sure he has learned his lesson about using his words carefully. I don't think he needs to go to jail for this.

It sincerely seemed like a joke gone terribly wrong. Thank you for not taking threats lightly, but give the man a break.

Even though I had a student on lockdown at SAU, this is way to harsh!

this is rediculus i know people with multiple drug related felonies that recieved probation, no jail time. this country has it screwed up. its time we stood up as a whole against tje tyrany of the U.S. government.

Cut the guy some slack, not like you haven't ever made an off handed remark that you immediately regretted. If this police department wants even the least amount of credibility, you should seriously reconsider your take on this situation.

I am a teacher in Hamilton County and am disgusted at the thought of jailing this young man, using tax payer dollars, when obviously it was an ill-formed joke of words. He probably felt that he had some type of rapport with the lady… My students and their families do not feel safe where they live (especially in the past 3 weeks, with all the shootings), yet Hamilton County PD wants to prosecute this man? ridiculous. Please spend out tax-dollars responsibly. RELEASE JIMMY NOW. There was no malicious intent or plan of deception. You do not need to make JIMMY an example. Has anyone questioned the motives of the woman at Chatt. State who called it in? Let's start there. Does she watch a lot of FOX News? Has she dated a crazy Adventist guy in the past or had a bad experience with one?

I think he has already paid dearly for a few hasty words. If the FBI has cleared him, he is clear.

I do not blame him for what he said. If the FBI decided to release him, I do not see the Hamilton County Police Dept should take more action.
