I beg the judge to look at the big picture and see what this young man has endured. Consider not just the letter of the law, but reason and the "spirit" behind those laws.

My brother attended SAU; my kids attended SAU. While I'm glad for the initial response to determine if there was a threat, I'm deeply disappointed in the inability of local officials to emulate the FBI and realize the misunderstandings. When a person threatens suicide, those in authority determine the validity of threat; when a person threatens homicide, can we not, similarly assess the validity of the threat? Must we persist in making an example, flouting freedom of speech guarantees as if one's words will always hurt us?

The police are taking life waaaay too seriously. They need to lighten up and go for the real criminals. But, at the same time treat everyone with the same respect that they demand.

If he was cleared by the FBI, come on! Leiuuiit the guy go. Look at his past and current life to decide if he's a threat! Dont be so quick to ruin a decent man's life!
