He's a nice guy. He shouldn't be so harshly punished for joking around. I can understand some community service or a fine for having all these agencies respond, but not jail time.

My husband jokingly made a similar remark to a co-worker at the plant he worked at (due to frustration at management) and was disciplined by having to attend counseling once a week for 6 months, which was adequate for him to learn his lesson that those kinds of comments should not be said. He never knew that until then but he did after the fact. Three years is ridiculous for a good man who didn't mean harm. It would only make a lot of people bitter toward city government.

I trust and have a faith in Jimmy Gaines that he will not make a same mistake even though what he said could have been a joke to him, now he knows he is responsible of what he states. Thank you so much for giving him a chance to learn from this important lesson. I pray that he decided to continue to walk with God.
