SAU Lockdown -Jimmy Gaines- made a mistake, faces possible 3 year jail sentence! MUST read, Sign The Petition today!

This is obviously a case of someone using poor judgement. Not being malicious.

I know someone who has been to prison over a stupid, messed up charge. I know how it hurts everybody. I do not want this to happen to Jimmy Gaines. He did not DO anything. We forgive him.

We all say stupid things. Why should he pay with three years in jail for something he never did?

As a person who has regretted what has come out of my mouth - I feel for Jimmy. For goodness sake be reasonalbe. Hamilton Police seem to have gone over the top.

Praying for God's grace to be seen in this misunderstanding!

It's upsetting. People living in or near Colllegedale were all freaked out because somebody overreacted to a college student's sarcasm and the student himself was out eating Taco Bell...=_= Ooh, scary. Even if someone says something in the heat of anger, they deserve to be forgiven, especially if they have apologized and have no record.

THis young man is a good man who made a joke when stressed and is now paying way to high a price for it. I do not think he deserves jail or any charges. He is a man that serves his community in so many ways.

He made a big mistake that a lady snowballed into a huge problem. He doesn't deserve jail time. Let him do a community service then leave him alone. worry about the thousands of prisoners you already have at nearly $40,000 a head per year. put the bad guys away and for goodness sake stop spoiling them! They don't need hot meals, cable, or recreation rooms. The prisoners live better lives than some Americans fighting to keep a home or feed their kids. Redeem yourselves by respecting our rights and not adding to our debt. Yes, he caused a lot of people to overreact but maybe the lady overreacted, too. Let him go and stop wasting our money.

There is no reason for a man's life to be significantly altered with prison over a few hasty words. He is a good man that harmlessly slipped in frustration.

He has suffered enough. He doesn't deserve three years in jail.

Everyone gets frustrated with the financial department at private schools... I challenge that the policemen and the judges may have said something like that in their youthful days...

We all sometimes say something we don't mean should we all get 3 years sentence in jail? I know he did something wrong and there should be consequences for his actions but 3 years sentence is unjust and would be absurd to sentence upon him. Will keep you in my prayer!

Having personally dealt with the insanity of the financial dept at Southern I fully understand the frustration this guy felt. We all say something stupid at least a few times in our lives so short of locking up the whole country this man does not need to be prosecuted for this mistake.

Ruining a mans life over a frustrating misunderstanding is wrong. Gaines did not intend to cause anyone harm and he did not.

This man has done nothing wrong. He had no plans to do anything wrong. He is innocent.
