For all that Coach Jimmy Murphrey has done for over 38 years for Lafayette County Athletics,we believe that the sports facility should be called the Jimmy Murphrey Sports Complex. He has played an active part in almost every sport offered at Lafayette. Not to mention he was the leader in the summer program before it was shut down. The wisdom and value that he has brought to the sports programs of the Lafayette County Commodores cannot be measured or repaid, other than through a recognition like this. So, this football season, let's give him the honor and recognition he so richly deserves.
