Jim certainly deserves this honor. As a fellow Pilot, I would consider it an honor to all of us, to name Beaver, Utah's Ball field to be named after Jim!

I went through flight school in 1970 with Jim and we wound up in the same unit in Vietnam. I knew him well and saw him in the hospital after he'd been shot down. Jim died doing what he loved. He never expressed regret, we all went to Vietnam knowing we might never come home alive.
I think this is a wonderful honor for a great guy who represents all that is good and right about America - willingness to fight and even die for something bigger than yourself.
Jim, I salute you, gone but never forgotten. I'll see you in heaven one day.
