The Port Authority has officially approved the construction of a shelter for the JFK prayer area. I am truly grateful for the commitment shown by the 116 people who signed this petition. We will monitor the progress of the installation to ensure the project remains on schedule.

Everyday hundreds of Muslim drivers attend 5 times daily prayer at JFK yellow cab lot. Bitter winter & heavy rain makes the prayer place really uncomfortable to pray. As a result, those who pray , it (adverse weather) hinder concentration during the prayer. So it is necessary that port authority assist Muslim drivers to have a better prayer place.
A masjid would definitely help us a bunch especially near JFK where people are either traveling or going to travel to places. It would be a great aid for us muslims to prayer before or after our safe travels. Thank you and Jazak Allah Khair.
Its part of our faith to have a place to worship, if we can worship properly we work and coperate better.
I'm signing this petition because we dispretly need proper place for prayer at least for 100 people can pray at a time thanks.
I need to pray . JFK praying area has to be bigger and dry. The rain and the winds is hard . we need that pray area covered . God bless you
Much needed space for a growing and vibrant population
Yes we need it.

I believe it is in the spirit of the constitution to give liberty to people for whom the constitution derives it's authority... freedom of worship and association. In this light, I humbly join forces and the voice to establish a shelter at the JFK for purposes of worship and prayer
