I stand with AHEPA in calling on the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to cut the nine years of red tape they have used to block the reconstruction of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church.

I call for the rebuilding of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church at 130 Liberty Street in accordance with the agreed upon master plan for Ground Zero!

The lack of response from the Port Authority is heavy and frankly exhausting to deal with. We are navigating a wall of bureaucracy while waiting for them to honor their commitments regarding the church site. This is a long struggle but the importance of the reconstruction keeps us moving forward.

The weight of this process wears on me but we continue moving toward the one thousand mark. Please send this link to your contacts so we can force them to finally listen.

Seriously? 9 years?? Get out of the way and let the reconstruction start. Everyone is sick of the red tape.

Get it done. The church belongs there and the Port Authority needs to stop playing games.

It is such a shame it has sat empty for years while they argue over paper work. Unbelievable.

Nine years is way too long. Just let them build it already.

This is ridiculous. Such a disrespect to the community and to the memory of the site. END THE DELAYS NOW.
