This petition is to advocate for 4x4 and Jeep trails in St. Lawrence County. These trails could and would coincide with ATV, UTV and snowmobile trails to be used during certain parts of the year and season.

Reaching this point has been a long road and my feet are honestly dragging from the sheer effort of it all. It is hard to keep pushing when the doors keep closing but seeing this momentum gives me a reason to stay awake for another round.

I think there is a lot of wasted potential of the of massena but o lot of land is taken by Alcoa and power Authority
I am part of a few off road groups already but there is alot of travel involved and getting the groups into st. Lawrence county would be great. I currently do not know of any legal state trails in st lawrence county.
Much needed, a well maintained trail network than can be accessed and used by all vehicles less than 1/2 ton. Small suvs, and small pickups, etc. offer a one time "trail use fee" or like a season pass for non winter use. Use 100% of the proceeds to put toward trail maintenance and a annual window decal. As well, use the list of users to contact to coordinate maintenance and cleanup efforts in the spring or as needed.
We need more 4x4 trails in NY. This is quickly growing and would be a great revenue for local communities just like snowmobiling, fishing, and hunting does already. As well alot of the clubs already do trail maintenance and clean ups of the areas we use and this would just broaden the areas.
This upstate New York area needs something like this to bring in more business forlorn outside areas... For years our town has driven these types of things away therefore pushing more business away... If more things like this were encouraged it could bring more business to our town to help keep it alive. More local sales at small business's, hotels, gas stations, camp grounds, automotive, food, etc... Let's help out community
Need more trails opened for jeep recreation.

As a resident of St. Lawrence County, I am behind this 100%. We have become to involved with only snowmobile trails, and have not kept up with 4x4 trails. I am tired of having to guess where the proper trails are, constantly moving back to blacktop to get to the next trail, and being shunned while traveling down the trails. I would even be interested in some type of permitting or pass process in order to help pay for trail maintenance. Even further, I would be willing to volunteer some time to help maintain the trails as well. Enough of the snowmobile rhetoric, which only gets 2-4 months worth of economic influx. 4x4 trails can be accessed 12 months a year!!!
