The system is not made for the poor. They berate misdemeanor and felonies fly by.
I know this to be a fact. Judge Doug Collins received a document from Head Riley stating my daughter had not been to her probation appointments since 2017. We had receipts to prove otherwise. My daughter was jailed for one week waiting on a hearing to address this matter. She was picked up on a violation of probation. We were able to prove the document submitted to the court was not true and the case was dismissed only after waiting from 0900 until 1600 hours. My daughter is still being charged fees for being in jail although she was held on a false charge. My daughters attorney said it was all a mistake and he was afraid to say to much because they entire Judicial System protects Jean Riley because they feel loyal to her. She takes my daughters phone when she goes in for probation appointments in order to keep from being recorded while she curses and insults my daughter. Even though my daughters attorney advised us it is not legal for her to take her phone and also told us she needs to be recorded. He also stated he'd love to have a recording of her talking to my daughter like that because that would be enough to have her dismissed from her position.
I completely 100000% and beyond!!!! She is so mean to people who honest to God TRY to do RIGHT && WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO DO. Jean Riley gave me someone else's docut number and when I went to pay on my court cost, the lady I was giving the money to recognized me. If it weren't for her recognizing me, I would have paid on someone else's court cost, and would have got violated for not paying on my OWN COURT COST!!!! Mrs.Riley NEEDS to be fired. She sets her client's up for failure before they even start on there probation. She threatens ALL her client's to the point I myself have walked out of her office crying along with ALOT of others. This isn't right. Hamblen county needs to re-look at her.. and do something about this. NO ONE deserves to be treated the way she treats people. NOONE. Just because people make mistakes doesn't mean they are "HARD core CRIMINALS"!!! PEOPLE MAKE MISTAKES IN LIFE BUT DO NOT DESERVE THE WAY SHE TREATS PEOPLE.
She needs to be fired. She has made me come see her weekly for over 2 years not one time have I got to come in monthly also she tells people they are not going to make their probation before they even get started there for she is setting them up for failure. She laughed at me for my father passing away she is rude she is disrespectful and she is arrogant and condasending. Hamblen County is only keeping her because of how much money she makes them through intimidation and setting people up for failure before they even get started I'm trying to get on the right path! I passed my drug test and got violated ?!?!?!?! How does that work?!?!?! And i got violated by her for basically recording my own visit. Which I WILL DO AGAIN AND AGAIN. OUR COUNTY NEEDS TO STEP UP AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS ISSUE.

I agree, jean has recently done wrongful actions against my brother who has done everything she has asked an she threatens jail time and violated him from almost a year ago. She is a liar and needs to be reviewed by hamblen county.
