Alaska really needs more than one especially in Anchorage and Eagle River.

The "dog park" currently in place is nice but it would be better to have something other then an old softball field.

We had one on the base at fort Gordon! It was phenomenal. One thing we noticed is that people were afraid of losing it. So parties policed one another for keeping trash clean, dogs behaving, poop picked up and etc.

So, at the Community Action Council this morning, it was mentioned that they have a fund for "Quality of Life", and that these funds usually go towards building all of the themed playgrounds that keep popping up all over base.

They give us the tiniest back yards and strict leash laws, the least they can do is let us have a dog park.
