This petition, is to notify all individuals involved in the hiring process for Head Football Coach at St. Johns High School, of the community support and endorsement for the hiring of James "Jimmy" Brown.
Jimmy was a three-sport athlete at St. Andrews High School, who later went on to play football at The Citadel Military College. He has been a life time member of the Johns Island community. Jimmy grew up in the St. Stephens A.M.E church on Johns Island and currently serves as a lay member in the same church. Jimmy knows the people, the layout and the culture of Johns Island.
His coaching career speaks for itself. As the Head Football Coach at North Charleston High School, Jimmy’s team made the playoffs, each of the five (5) years he coached there. As a Head Coach, Jimmy was named coach of the year in 2009. He also coached in 2 Lower State Championship games. Seven (7) out of the eight (8) years that he was the Assistant Head Coach, his team made the playoffs. More recently, as the Assistant Head Coach at First Baptist High School, Jimmy has coached in three (3) State Championship games, winning two (2).
Jimmy’s triumphs off the field, may outshine all of his on-field accomplishments. As a Head Coach, he has been instrumental in helping twenty-five (25) kids enter college on athletic scholarships (football/basketball). Jimmy has coached two (2) valedictorians and two (2) salutatorians. He has also coached three (3) students that went on to play in the National Football League (NFL).
Signing this petition, is approval of James "Jimmy" Brown, as the new Head Football Coach at St. John's High School.

I played basketball under Coach Brown during our run to lower state champions. Coach Brown is a great coach, great man and Great mentor. And most of all he knows what it takes to be a winner. He pushes to be a great athlete but more importantly a better person. He is truly deserving of the head coach position
He is a great Teacher and awesome Coach, how do I know because I was his student at North Charleston High School!!! He would be a great addition to not only the Football Team but I believe he is very capable of taking us to the next level!!! This would change the entire culture of our Program!!!!
I strongly remember Mr. Brown. He’s a man of integrity. He’s a motivator and his discipline is structured and within guidelines. He’s an awesome coach. He coached and mentored 2 of my children. His ethics is not just for the football field. He’s and awesome Husband with a very supportive wife and a great Father. He’s for his community and surrounding area.
Coach James Brown is the best Coach on and off the court. He has my highest respect and he is a very valuable person that gives 100% to his community by giving back to our youth. I have seen it 1st hand, he has coached my son since he was little.
Mr. James Brown jr. Is 1 of the best High School Football Coaches in South Carolina, Look at the School's hes Coach. Now look at connections he has Family on the Island and played football against St. John's in High School. Hes the key in turning ST. John's around,

Coach Brown has led many teams to victory, I have seen him build a team with no experience to a dominant team. He is very passionate in his coaching and have a strong love foe the game.

This man has been my mentor for YEARS and I have all faith in him as a retired professional football player that Jimmy brown can and will get the job done in more than just winning football games but reshaping the school through the program
