My husband and I see Tommy's daily pain he has suffered ever since April 24, 1993. On this day Tommy and his families lives changed forever all because James Frisson made the choice to drive drunk. I feel that his parole should be denied because of his lack of care for others changed Tommy's life forever. He has broken his parole when he was awarded parole before and obviously doesn't care about anyone but himself. I feel parole needs to be denied in order to keep others safe and hopefully keep someone else and their families from the suffering and pain he caused to Tommy and his family on that day in April 1993!

Why would you give this man another chance, when you have already released him once and he provoked his probation, while in rehab.

My name is Sylvia Hanback , Tommy's Mom. James Dean Grissom doesn't deserve parole in my opinion & let me explain why. Growing up my son always loved sports. I don't know we're he got it from but he sure loves it , especially football. He always begged to play but he was always the youngest in his class & we were afraid of him getting hurt. We let him play Saturday morning basketball & we noticed he was very athletic. VERY competitive. Always wanted to win. We kept resisting him playing football until his Freshman year. His daddy had cows & a logging business to tend to & needed Tommy to help which he did. But we were going to let him play & play he did. Honors started rolling in. His 10th & 11th grade year he made various All County , All Area & All State teams. Won varsity defensive MVP his 10th & 11th grade year. Our phone started ringing off the wall from recruiting agencies & college coaches wanting him to visit. My son & his teammates led Central to the Final Four in football. He had just turned 16 & I thought was to young for all this but he was chasing his dream of playing college ball. Then I got a call of a different kind. Get to ECM & hurry a Tommy's been run over. We got there & everything was a blur. My sweet , handsome , strong son was fighting for his life. The doctor came in & said his injuries are life threating & we need fly him to a trauma center in Memphis now. I remember hugging my baby & saying I love you. He said don't worry mom it will be ok. We get to Memphis & like to have never found the right place but we did. One of his doctors came & told us we have him stable. It broke both legs all the way down , one severely. Both hips & would find out later his back as well. After a couple of days his dad had left to go home to get a few things & I was there by myself with him. The dr came in & said we've noticed his lower leg swelling badly, a blood clot had formed behind his knee. We had to make a choice immediately to take off his leg or try to

Tommy is my son-in-law. He is a very faithful, dedicated, loving husband to my daughter. He is a wonderful, loving Dad to my grandsons. He works for me and I watch him suffer everyday because of his injuries that James Grissoms did to him. He wife and sons and his parents are affected by this everyday. Tommy is an exceptional young man who does all that he can and more for his family, his job, his church and his community in spite of what that drunk driver, James Grissoms did to him. Mr. Grissoms should not be free because Tommy and his family still suffer every day because if what he did

I live in the same community of Tommy Hanback and his family. I have 3 children, 2 of whom drive. I would rather he be behind bars than on the road driving drunk and keep everyone else safe. It's unfortunate that Tommy has had to deal with the pain and surgeries he's been through due to someone else's negligence.
