Although the email response said we are within the legal 28 students, is that what we really want to start doing in our town? The reason our schools are highly regarded is the quality of education. At 27 students, mainly 10 years of age, how can 1 teacher be able to fulfill all the needs. This will have a serious negative effect on our teachers and children. I am asking the Administration and BOE to please sit down with the parents and come up with a solution for our children.

Fifth grade is an important year for our children as they get ready for middle school. If we get more students as the year goes on, this number will only grow. We want our students to get the attention they need and our teachers to have a manageable classroom. Wayne needs to maintain its status as a top notch school district.

The school's administration and BOE are there to advocate for our kids' interests. Even though the class size is within law requirement of 28 kids per class, the quality of learning process is compromised. Every effort and opportunity to improve the quality of teachers' work teaching our children must be utilized. Less children in class will help teachers to have much better outcomes - it is a well known fact. 27 kids in a class is a borderline that will decrease the outcomes of the hard work that the school does. We all can read and understand laws and legislations. There is no need for BOE's member to explain to me the law or to justify that rule for me. Administration and BOE are there to protect population's interests within that law!
