I wish to register my support for retaining the James Earley mural erected on the side of The Cobblestone Public House, 77 North King Street, Dublin 7.

I believe that the mural enhances the cultural character of the Smithfield area and provides aesthetic value to the locality. I have no objections to the art remaining on the building and do not believe removal of the mural is warranted.

The Dublin City Council is trying to erase our history but this surge of support proves they cannot ignore us. We are turning the tide against the bureaucratic suits who want to strip the soul out of Smithfield.

I think it's a fantastic addition to the streetscape by a well respected Irish artist. It's definitely an improvement and should remain.

James Early and his work is a credit to this city and its urban landscape . We should be celebrating the talent not erasing it!

Art is part of the cultural fabric of a city. This is curated art with buy in and permission of the property. It enhances the area.
