Youth, inexperience and ego especially unsupervised can have devastating results. These type of tours need to stop to prevent further damage to young lives and the environment of Fraser Island.

I am so for this! I am tired of seeing deaths on Fraser Island because of Tag-along 4WD vehicles and lack of experience and knowledge of the island

This must stop. I am a tour operator that employs trained drivers to take tourist on holidays to Fraser Island, and in my experience – EXPERIENCED DRIVERS is everything. The bravado that occurs among the young tourists in such a remote location is astonishing, and when such an important safety factor is left in the hands of young people pumped up with testosterone and hormones, the result is inevitable. People need to understand that this is human nature. Without considerable training and tempered attitudes, the results can be catastrophic due to the unpredictable conditions of Fraser Island.
