This project is well overdue. The State reaps the benefits from the oil and gas industry so now it’s time to protect our people as well as all travelers. Locals know to avoid this road from Malaga to Pecos, Texas. 285 is in horrendous condition for all the traffic that use it.

That hwy is a death trap. My father-in-law had to drive it daily and it terrified our family how close he came to be in an accident on a regular basis.
