I grew up in the Dexter area, they need to make it all safer

Lets get this road four lane so we can be surr our loved ones make it home every day my boyfriend drives this road daily sometimes 4 or 5 times a day

This is a must as are other roads around here. Do these grieving families a solid and fix these roads!!!!!!! There’s really no reason for our roads to not be taken care of especially in a part of the state that makes some of the most money for this state!!!!

Please fix this highway before more lives are lost

No reason for this MAJOR HWY that is HEAVILY traveled to be two lanes, so dangerous. Government greed is keeping this from happening!!!

The fatality rate on this section of road makes it one of the deadliest in the nation and THE deadliest in NM. Something needs to change...

Work in this area and the traffic is horrible. Heavy trucks to small vehicles.

We may not be able to stop stupid drivers but I believe with the expansion of the road to make it bigger will help.

Please allow taxpayers money to fund safer roads in our state.

Our hwy 285 south of carlsbad needs help. South of Malaga need to be four land with shoulder. Between Loving and Carlsbad maybe some stop lights would help (at intersection of hwy 31).

This stretch of highway has made too many widows and has caused kids to lose a parent. Please continue to pray for everyone on the road. My husband along with a lot of others drive this road daily and I pray God brings them home safely.

Something really needs to be done on this highway! Its awful and scary to drive it even when its just to pass by. We need alot more sheriff and state police out there from both states daily not just untill the pressure from all these recent accidents go down. My husband like many others and family members run risk every morning just to get to work and include the job it makes there daily risk even worse. Please take this petition as an urgent outcry of our community!

Yes to 4 lane hwy!

I saw this accident right after it happened and it was horrible. I hope no family has to ever go thru this again. I know a four lane will not correct human error but I do believe it will make it a safer road to travel. I haul crude in this area and there is just way too much traffic for a 2 lane
