The highway needs to be 4 lane to make it safe foor the growth in southeast NM

On this road, I lost two cousins (Kyle and Kevin) and now Jacob who was a few weeks away from having a child with my cousin Randa. What a cursed hellish road! Hobbs highway (62 North) is a 4 lane, Artesia highway (285 North) is a 4 lane, Whites City highway (62 South) is a 4 lane to 3 lane. I got on google maps and counted 35 cars on the Artesia highway 6.1 miles out from Carlsbad. I counted 35 cars out from Loving past Malaga 6.7 miles. If a random satellite image shows about the same amount of cars in about the same distance the traffic has got to be roughly the same overall between 285 North and South. Just make the jump and get 285 South on track. Having the extra space on the road should minimize further tragedy by leaps.

This needs to be done !!!! Lives need to be safe while traveling to and from work !!!

Please fix this road and widen it to a 4 lane. Too many people have lost lives on this hwy.

We do not need no more people hurt cause of the loss of a loved one cause of those roads that need to be more safe for people to travel on would appreciate if they put more attention to fixing the roads between Loving New Mexico and Orla, Pecos .
