I agree with everybody that this road needs to be a four lane to many precious lives has been taken on this high way something needs to be done instead of building an bringing new businesses trying to make the town bigger this road needs to be wider an bigger how many more lives have to be taken for something to be done about it

This his horrible that a petition has to be put out to save lives on a highway that tax payers have longed for , for years . I am sorry and praying for the families and loved ones that have lost there lives on these highways . I hope that the State will do something about this immediately before we lose more lives .

Yes, I very much feel that Jacob's Highway should be made into a 4 lane highway! It is extremely dangerous & difficult to drive on! I've had to drive on it before, hauling water, & I was scared to death whenever I had to pass another truck, or trucks! Too, people are always losing their lives on that stretch of road!

I drive this highway everyday and people are so careless! We need more supervision during the morning and afternoons!

This highway was not meant to have the amount of traffic it has on it. 285 is the worst but the road infrastructure of south east New Mexico needs to be reevaluated, starting with south bound 285.

I have two sons and one daughter that drive these roads daily please make our highways safer so all our loved make it home.

My heart goes out to the families of the victims. I drive hwy 285 almost every day and see so many close calls. I agree 4 lanes is a must. If that can't be done at least put in passing lanes.

I was traveling Highway 285 Carlsbad to Pecos Texas every couple of days and it is a very dangerous road . I pray they do make that a four-lane highway and then maybe the police will be able to travel that road as well .

My husband, dad, brother, uncles, and cousins all work in the oilfield and I am constantly worried not about the danger of the Job but about the roads they have to drive to get there! We have lost enough lives to senseless car accidents! It's time they do something about this to get our men safe!

We need something done about this high traffic road, that has been causing alot of problems due to the oil field.
