I signed this petition one for Michael Ponce who died on this road. Also when I travel from SanAntonio to New Mexico I take 285 it’s a very dangerous road. Great improvements were done by taking away the four way stop and creating a bridge so that traffic and continue moving forward. However the challenge is still competing against big trucks that take up the road and toss little dust rocks and other drivers that are speeding to get around them. I also think the companies that are out there that are creating this havoc these oil companies should also be obligated to share into the cost of this road.

To many lives have been lost in this highway. My cousins just recently lost a very good friend who was like a brother to them. Change this highway to 4 lanes.

The pot holes alone on this road is just unexceptionable. These people are most likely traveling on this road so WE all can have oil and gas and our state can’t even give them a safe road to drive on? Ridiculous. I worry sending my daughters dad off to work every single day. It’s heartbreaking seeing all these lives being taken. Bless these families as they go through these trying times.

So many lives lost at the hand of a carless driver on a highway thats not meant to hold traffic that is gets with theae large semi trucks. We lost a loved one in July on a same type of road close by this place for the very same reason. Its time to change this.. How many.more people have to die before change happens. It starts today.
