I am in a 'shaded x' zone and my house has flooded 3-4 times. I live less than a block from OS City Hall. I need flood insurance!

You can't change the rules in the middle of the game. When the flood insurance rates are more than your mortgage payment each month it's over. Please fix this.

Insurance rates are making it more difficult to remain on the coast. Please address flood and homeowners insurance inequities in PASCAGOULA and surrounding municipalities.

Having spent the last two weeks in Orange, Tx on disaster relief, it has been determined that FEMA flood maps for that state is years out of date. Therefore people are living in zones designated as non flood zones, have found out these zones do flood. Of course they had no flood insurance.

Please consider. If the coasts people had the money they would all raise their homes to meet all guidelines that have been put in place and are going to be put in place in years to come. These great people of The coast would get right on the wagon of total compliance and beyond, but money is the issue here! Every body wants a bigger piece of their paycheck these hardworking people make.

Insurance reform is essential for economic development. Initiate a nationwide all perils insurance law. This issue affects most homeowners in this nation.

I agree, the flood planes in Pascagoula, MS are unfair, compared to the surrounding areas.

I have lived in my home on Pascagoula St. since 1947. The ONLY time there was ever water in it was 2005-not the storm of 1947, Betsy, Camille, Frederick or Elena-just the one time yet I am penalized for that!

I was told my home has no base flood so I automatically get the highest rate. It's crazy!

As a resident of Pascagoula we are "insurance poor". We elevated our home to 19'6" above sea level post Katrina and our flood insurance premiums continue to climb. Add being dropped into the windpool by State Farm and the rates skyrocketed. Please make rates affordable to all our citizens so that we can save our town!

This flood assessment was a overreaction done in immediate hindsight to an exceptionally abberational event. The resulting onerous requirements are wrong and unfair as there is no geographical difference between our area and other areas of the Gulf Coast who are not laboring under similar restrictions to their growth and prosperity.

Insurance rates keep people from buying homes on the coast. It's killing our local economy.

This petition speaks to the very serious needs of coastal property owners/constituents.
It must receive every consideration in order to maintain viable communities in our hurricane threatened environment.
