I have known Mark and Jackie for years. They have made a fairly average gym into a place that people actively want to attend. They have been creative with classes to make the most out of the limited space, and have become friends to everyone who attends the Windsor gym through their open and caring style.
In the 10 years I attended the gym at Windsor in I never once heard anyone complain about the service received from the PTs. Not at any point did anyone say they wanted to get rid of the free gym facility in favour of a paid for gym run by a big soulless corporation (Nuffield). In exchange for a few shiny new machines. Not once did anyone ever say Mark and Jackie should leave to make way for a spotty teenager straight out of school to be a PT in the gym (Nuffield's cheap labour policy).
So someone at Centrica clearly knew better and decided it would be a great idea to get Nuffield in so everyone could receive a worse deal. Mark and Jackie are the Windsor gym. The way they have been treated is a DISGRACE. Centrica and Nuffield should both hang their heads in shame and sort this mess out as soon as possible.
Unfortunately it seems to summarise what Centrica has become - not caring for employees like they once did, and showing people the door at every opportunity.
Shame on Centrica and Nuffield. SORT IT OUT!!

I don't even work for Centrica any more, but I was shocked to hear about this. I'd hate for my former fellow colleagues to be denied what was ultimately the best reason to visit the gym: Mark & Jackie were (and area) a true inspiration.

What a shame! These two were very supportive and interacted very well with all the 'customers'. If you were not able to go for a time, they inquired as to your health. I have had my induction but the usage seems to have gone to rock bottom. I suggest this is because of the reckless actions of Nuffield.

I would like to add my support for Mark and Jackie to be brought back and retained. I have used the gym since 2008 and Mark and Jackie have been here for not long after this time. They are both very good gym Instructors and know the people, place and gym very well. They both add their personalities and rapour to the gym members and I think its part of this reason so many people are saddened to see them go and not happy for the reasons why they have been made to leave, and especially in the cold corporate manor as well. They have been Instructors here for a very long and we would all like to see them return Please!

Mark and Jackie know their gym goers well, their injuries and goals. It will take a lot to replace that kind of knowledge.

Oh Dear! I went to check out the gym yesterday following a period when I have not been able to attend - and I left very disappointed. Where was the buzz? Where was the friendly atmosphere? And why were there so few people in the gym?
My visit yesterday was to book up an induction due to the changes. Although I was curious about the refurbishment I was more keen to renew the fitness regime created for me by Mark and Jackie. It is a struggle for me to attend any gym, and it was only the continued personal support and encouragement that I got from Mark and Jackie that kept me motivated to attend.
I went away with a membership form that I am unlikely to complete due to my disappointment. The changes are not improvements for me. It all feels very corporate and that isn't going to motivate me at all.
I look forward to the return of Mark and Jackie.

Mark and Jackie are the heart and soul of the Windsor gym. I would rather have no new machines and no Nuffield than have them gone. It is a great shame that two of the most fantasic and dedicated Centrica employees that I have ever met are being 'run-out' like this, and I am embarrased to be part of a company that would do such a thing.

Mark and Jackie are the best gym instructors I have ever met. What makes them unique is the way they make exercise, fitness and health relevant to the people they serve. They do so because of their vast experience and a desire to encourage everyone, with great humour and genuine concern.

Why invest in equipment and then get rid of the most valuable assets - Mark and Jackie!
