There's no need to change the original names. You can add some kind of guide or notes to help the reader understand cultural differences better, but even if you don't do any of that, it's not that hard to understand. We know that this is a Korean novel and new readers will notice, so cultural differences ARE expected. I really hope they reconsider this decision because this was never a big issue for us (western readers) when we got into this story and I'm sure that fans (and new readers) will appreciate way more a publisher that has respect for the original work and the culture from where it came. (please, forgive my terrible english)

Please respect the culture of this novel. This novel means so much to me and to so many others. Please don't erase it's identity through unnecessary localization.

I learnt so much about korean culture thanks to orv. We don't need a western translation since everything in the novel means so much to us, you can always add a note if there's cultural differences
