Dr. Jerry Domatob and I met through AEJ's MAC. He is a professor at Alcorn State and former Ph.D. student of Dr. Izard at Ohio University. (For more information: http://www.alcorn.edu/offices/Relations/Default.aspx?id=6640) Dr. Domatob met with me at the LSU/Ohio social and asked if I was interested in starting a campaign to nominate Dr. Izard for the AEJMC 2012 Diversity Award. I thought this was a great idea! We are gathering signatures here online from all academics who knew Dr. Izard. Dr. Izard has been a key player in helping promote diversity research. He is the executive director of LSU's national ethnic and media diversity forum. Please help us promote the work that Dr. Izard has done in stressing the importance of ethnic/diversity research.
