Home Fires is one of the best period dramas that we have seen in recent times. It not only is superb but it brings the reality of wartime Britain to today's generation. Axing such a popular series is beyond comprehension. ITV did the same thing to popular series like Heartbeat and The Royal. Don't make the same mistake again.

Please, please reconsider. This is a fantastic drama and is so well acted with good story lines. It also helps younger people of today get a glimpse of what life in Britain was like during World War 2. It is imperative no one forgets.
