This show is fantastic and to cancel it on a cliffhanger is terrible. Why do this ITV why.......!!

Home Fires is an excellent programme and this is an unwise and mystifying decision by ITV. Especially as series 2 ended with such a cliff hanger.

A quality drama. The axing of a series with story lines unfinished shows a complete lack of respect for the 6 m viewers. Not much point in watching future new ITV series if such a decision can be made.

This is awful, it was my favourite programme on TV since it started. You've left us all up in the air with so many story lines left unfinished. How could ITV, please bring it back.

I am extremely disappointed that this fantastic programme home fires has been cancelled and the third series that was in the making has also been abandoned I am shocked and furious. I ask that you reconsider this decision.

Cannot understand your decision to axe this lovely programme. Just cannot see the logic in your action in doing so with such a popular series. I know a lot of people who looked forward to watching it & they are all bitterly dissapointed with your decision.!!

I AM ABSOLUTELY AMAZED THAT ITV HAVE CANCELLED THIS PROGRAMME. ABOUT ONE OF THE FEW THINGS WORTH WATCHING ON ITV THESE DAYS. THEY APPEAR TO HAVE GIVEN UP THE GHOST AS FAR AS ATTRACTING AUDIENCES. I PREFER CHANNEL 4 AND CHANNEL 21 BUT I DO MAKE A POINT OF WATCHING HOMES FIRES. MY SISTER BRENDA ALSO LOVES IT AND SHE LIVES IN EDMONTON, ALBERTA, CANADA. VERY SHORTSIGHTED OF ITV - I AM TRULY FLABBERGASTED. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?
