I think it is disgraceful that such a popular programme has been axed. ITV should be ashamed of themselves as this programme is a big hit

An excellent series but being cancelled is rediculous. With large viewing audience why cancel? Cancel the x factor instead.

ITV can only give petty excuses for cancelling such a great series which is every bit as good and more than Downton Abbey come on and admit your mistake and give home fires back to the many thousands of viewers

Save home fires. When it first aired on TV I was in hospital avin leg amputated so missed it but when it was on again for series 2 I thort am not going to miss it this time and am so glad I didn't. It's like coming home and catching up with old friends that's the only way I can describe it

We have watched first 2 series's do we're looking forward to series 3 having lived through
WWll we thought it was really well done. I'm sure thousands of other viewers feel exactly the same as my husband and self.
