I live in the USA and can confirm that the series has been watched on PBS by thousands of people who are devastated that ITV have decided not to commission series 3. I consider the decision to be not in the interests of the viewing public, short sighted and , unless the production costs are prohibitive, not a sound financial decision.

Please renew home fires for a season 3- it has the values this world needs now and its focus on women is refreshingly done. Don't keep us guessing about the plane crash- there are too many stories that need to be continued. We're angry!!! Not good!!!!!!

This was such a good show. If you knew you were going to cancel it why did you leave it as a cliff hanger? Just because the younger crowd doesn't care for it doesn't mean it isn't good. Older viewer count too!
