Home Fires has been a great show and would be a shame to end it after the cliffhanger at the end of series, even if ITV decided to end it after series 3 at least the show could come to a proper end

It's not rocket science, it appears to be sexism with ageism. But it's really about money. And I am baffled why the numbers don't count. People, especially women, over 40, have way more money than the 18-34 age group. And my 3 adult kids RARELY watch tv on a network. They watch utube, HULU, and mostly on their computers. And, they are well educated and have almost NO extra money. In other words, advertisers, they don't care about your products and will fast forward through your adverts anyway. Ignore the market at your risk. Again, it is NOT rocket science!!

I'm British and my parents lived through WWII (my mother worked in a munitions factory, making shells). Home Fires gavr us a perspective rarely seen on television about how the war affected village life. Everything about the show was superb, although I can't see the decision-makers at ITV having the sense to bring the show back. Series 2 was shown in the U.K. in 2016 and no doubt the show has been relegated to a dusty and forgotten bookshelf over at ITV towers. A great shame as it was one of those rare times that ITV actually broadcast a show of substance.

I urge you to renew Home Fires for Season 3. This is one of the best TV dramas I have seen in a long time. Excellent writing and acting. PLEASE bring HOME FIRES back!

If there is not to be another season the final episode should have been rewritten. Leaving the viewer up in the air with such a final show was just cruel. Made one feel like watching was a waste of time.

At least do a 2 hour finale next year.
