This is how our municipality and government give back to the community and make a difference. Every child growing up in a coastal town SHOULD be taught how to swim. It could literally save their life.

Although we have an outdoor municipal pool it is always cold and needs constant maintenance due to wind. Kids are drowning all the time in the ocean and if they had this skill surely the numbers would go down.

We really have grown in population in wbay, we have only rehabilitated outdated outdoor swimming pool for a town that makes lots of money.. we can’t enjoy nice swimming bcos of rapidly changing weather mixed with nonstop wind, pls we our little once need a indoor swimming pool.. we have struggled too long with this..

Swimming is not just a recreational activity but a life saving one, especially where there's a lot of open water around. The Walvisbay community absolutely needs to feel that the people in this community are being taken seriously and supported in their quest for water safety and the safety of the people.
