These are hazardous devices and should be kept off foot paths esp when there are elderly and children sharing the same walkway. Its safer for everyone if PMDs and E-Scooters are not allowed in SG.

stand at Holland Village bus stop at 5 pm and every few minutes some Caucasian child or family on e scooters or bikes will barge through the bus bay . They have no regard for the fact that pedestrians are in the bus bay to take a bus and they as escorted have no right to be there in the bus bay .

The law is ineffective against errant PMD riders. It's like letting cars zoom around Singapore roads at 200kmph where it is supposed to be 50kmph, and the Laws, the Acts, the Traffic Police, the Singapore Police Force can't do anything about it. There are already so many deaths and injuries. The rights and safety of pedestrians and other peaceful users of shared pathways are severely compromised.

Not looking at banning but necessary strict measure need to be taken as the rider is putting every public in dangerous situation. Control the speed and do not pose anyone at risks. Technology should not bring people to death...

Seriously people. Think about it.
1. PMDs should be allowed on road, not pavement. (solved pedestrian accident problem). And if PMDs gets hit by car, thats their problem.
2. Without PMDs, there will be no more jobs for many people (people who honestly work for a living by delivering food and kept by the law speed limit). And thus, longer waiting time for food and maybe no rider / driver to deliver your food?
3. Ban those young punks who abuse PMDs. They modified their PMDs to ride super fast and furious which caused inconvenience and accidents. How to ban? Ask for inspections. Like cars.
4. Please do not lump all PMDs riders together. It's the same as saying: cars causes accident, ban cars? People murder people, ban humans?? Grow up and grow a brain.
I am not here to support all PMDs riders but am thinking of a better solution. Not sweep problems under the carpet like banning this banning that. Honestly my kids nearly got hit by some PMDs rider as well and i am super pissed off with that. But do i support banning PMDs? NO! But strict regulations MUST BE implemented.
Honestly i am sadden to see how all you people act. Either you guys are stuck in your cave for too long or just super blinded / ignorant to think of a solution or use your eyes to see.
Banning PMDs = banning disabled people from traveling.
I have seen rude elderly disabled PMD users and ive seen them hit people before. Why not ban disabled people too?
So please, see things radically and solved problems. Thank you.
