If the government can ban pornography, chewing gum, etc, etc, they should ban e-scooters, e-bikes totally. It's is a bloody menace to pedestrians and motorist. BAN them.

E bike exist before 60's. According to my late dad, he owned one. Our country fore-father learned that it jeopardize life. Due to his love towards his citizen, E bike was band from using and restrict from further importing. Life is priceless. Please do not compromise on our safety for other benefits in return!

Im for this petition. We should not let those who are not proficient in Highway Code to travel on the road, otherwise it will defeat the purpose of having qualified drivers on the road

Dont be lame. There're already laws on e scooter not being allowed to go on roads. And they are not allowed to go above 15 on pavement. The problem lies with the riders, not the scooters. An irresponsible rider is the one that causes accident. By banning e scooters, what can you actually do? So smoking causes harm to people. So are you going to ban smoking? I'm pretty sure smoking is actually affecting alot more people everyday around SG rather than 1 accident in 1 month. Do something productive and helpful. Dont suggest stupid stuff that wouldnt happen. 1000 signatures wont get you anywhere either.

Most of them are arrogant and nuisance to pedestrian and road user.

They are a hazard to the pedestrians on the pathway because of the speed. At the same time they speed on the road recklessly not adhering to traffic rule and expect other road user to avoid them. Also since it is a motorized vehicle why is it that these users do not have to take highway code and test like other vehicle users?? And I fail to understand why there is no need for them to get compulsory Insurance in case an accident happened. How is any victim expected to be compensated??
