Has created an environment of fear for young children and elderly to walk on footpaths these days.

Too much resources are wasted in reviewing and enforcing the PMD Act. This precious resources should be directed to more urgent priorities like unemployment, healthcare. Big cities like Shanghai and HK do not allow this and I believe we should follow their examples. Finally, too many people have gotten injured by PMD, just how many need to be hurt before putting a stop to this.

Walking on the footpath like crossing the road nowadays. My neighbour was hit by a bicycle on the footpath last year. I was almost hit by a bicycle last week at the park connector when the cyclist suddenly turn left into my path without checking. I support the ban of E-scooters.

Foodpanda and young punks with 100% sense of urgency and 0% sense of safety.
Daily hazard to unwary children and slow reacting seniors.
Footpath is for foot.
Keep the wheels on the road.

The longer we wait to ban pmds, the more people are going to get hurt. It does not take a genius to figure this out.

I have 3 kids and I used to let them run around and play around in void decks and park connectors. With so many E-scooters in my neighborhood now, I never bring them to the park connectors anymore. There are many E-scooters riders using the park connectors as racing tracks.
I have to hold their hands while walking in void decks and pedestrians walkway like I did when crossing the roads as there is a fear of them getting knock down by E-scooters.
Having so many share bicycles on the pedestrians walkway has already make me worried and now we have E-scooters. Very soon the pedestrians walkway will be 'converted' to bicycle/ E-scooter Lane.
We already know that E-scooter can cause serious injuries if there is a accident and yet our government only continue to enforce pointless law which still could not protect the pedestrian. Sometime I wonder if our government has forgotten that Singapore is a densely populated city...

Bicycles have been on pavements since police-wear-shorts days. So, they are ok as reaction time of pedal power is easily controlled. But eScooters are dangerous! Look at the rising number of accidents. You are not in favour of a ban because it has not happened to your loved one yet!

If the e-scooter is travelling at the legal limit of 15kmh when it hits you, this is enough force to easily send a grown man flying into the air, what more a frail senior or children. Please make Singapore a safe place for our elderly parents and kids to walk. Pathway is meant for pedestrians and not e-scooter. Is e-scooter allow because of our poor transport system?

E scooter must be ban from foot path .
Having seen them in Parks ( Bedok reservoir) where families with young children taking walks on weekends, the speed and irresponsible riders are dangerous to innocent users of the park.

e scooter riders are getting bolder as penalties for knocking down and injuring pedestrians are very lenient. Govt is only taliking about licensing and insurance , but nothing about prevention! In my Hdb block there are escooter riders riding thru the void deck and riding out of the lift thru the void deck and out to the path. i cant see any license plate. How to report them?

1 death is too much, 2 is unacceptable. Alowing E-Scooter to continue roaming out everywhere where there are people's presense is too dangerous.
