I support the use of escooters in Singapore. Please ban them before anymore serious injuries takes place. Most of the young escooters users are matured enough to handle the escooter.

For people with sight and walking /balance difficulties it will be hard to avoid a collision with them unless they ride a good distance off the footpath but we all know that most footpaths are not very wide so everytime i see these e-scooters it makes me very anxious that something might happen and to be honest they are pretty annoying.

A total ban is good, with all the incidents occurring these days, I'm surprised that them dumbasses are still allowed to ride these killing machines around.

I've written to my MP and the Minister of Transport, but have received the standard reply. No ban. Are the authorities at all concerned about pedestrian safety? And how to monitor the speed limit without sophisticated equipment?

Should not have been allowed into our country in the first place. Not helping in carlight policy at all because these riders are not the same profile as car owners.

I experienced several near miss cases when rider ride recklessly and fast on the road without helmet. Even on footpath or common areas, a resident may appear from a blind spot and hit by an incoming rider can cause serious injury. This does not only apply to E-Scooter. It includes electric bikes.

I have submitted feedback to reach a few times to ban e scooters. The authorities should not jeopardise the safety of the majority at the expense of the minority e scooter users. I really wonder if they knew about e=mc2. It is not just the weight of the scooter and speed but how about the terrain (eg down slope) and weight of rider which would determine the impact of a collision. For frequent travellers, which of the countries you been to you have to worry of getting hit by e scooter while walking on pavement? This is truly uniquely Singapore.

If chewing gum can be banned in sg, then why not ban these E-scooters too and take them away from harming anymore people (including the E-scooterists themselves).
