Have encountered irresponsible escooter users every evening who zoom pass pedestrians at high speed. Some even wear helmet, good for the rider but if a collision happen and the rider escape, no one can track him/her.

Yes, please consider banning e-scooters and e-bikes. But do allow those 4-wheeled mobility devices for elderly or those who can't move around.
To travel and get around simply on foot, to go about our daily activities, the majority of us would regularly walk along void decks and foot-paths to get to nearby bus-stops or train stations. However, the prevalence of such motorized devices have made common spaces a less safer place to be at. Common spaces like void decks used to be a much safer space for everyone. It's a communal space as well - for the elderly to mingle with neighbors (rather than cooping at home), and at the same time, tending to their grandchildren having some fun with other kids. At foot-paths, some may choose to go for leisurely walk with families. But safety at these places has been compromised with such mobility devices driven at high-speeds by some owners. Nowadays, when one gets out of our homes or just stepping out of the lifts, one has to watch out for these e-scooters and e-bikes which can appear suddenly out of blind corners driven at high speeds. Some riders just ride them everywhere - void decks and perimeters of HDB blocks where it's hard to anticipate their presence until it's too late to avoid colliding into them. I hope the authorities can do something to make common spaces like void decks and foot-paths a safe place for all of us.

Escooters should be banned totally. Too many irresponsible riders on the streets that do not look out for people and riding at high speed on narrow paths.

Completely agree with this; let us unite and nip this dangerous trend in the bud. More than once, I've encountered near-misses at the bus stop boarding bay. E-scooter riders zoom past unannounced at the very place where passengers board and alight. I'm very concerned and worried that more collisions will happen to the unsuspecting passengers. E-scooter riders should not be allowed to indulge in such dangerous practices any longer.

Footpaths are meant for people to walk. I’ve always kept to my left when using footpaths but i still need to constantly look over my shoulder to check for incoming e scooters and I end up walking on the grass for fear of getting hit whenever i see one or a group of them.
