Me and my young children have almost been victims of reckless speeding PMDs countless times while just walking on pavements or crossing roads. I do not want to wait till anything bad happens and hope to stop any preventable accidents to anyone.

Was nearly hit by
1. Angmoh at orchard going at full speed. Seriously? What's the point of going at very fast speed outside crowded Wheelock place? I could have died.
2. Four teens at Marine Parade parade's tight corner to busstop who even swore at me for blocking their path.
We humans, don't deserve escooter if so many people, it seems, don't have brains to use it. I will rather it be banned.

Very dangerous - especially on narrow pavements in housing estates and on Orchard Road pedestrian walkways! Not just the e-scooter should be banned - other PMDs too!

It is getting very risky everyday walking on our foot path with those e-scooter zooming around recklessly. If the authorities cannot control them, its better to ban them.

Total ban. Unless you really need to use it because you cannot walk, you shouldn't use it.

There must be a total ban on these. Only those medically certified wheelchair bound are allowed to purchase the electric wheelchair.
I always fear for my primary school kids when they are out by themselves. The streets are no longer safe.
I would like to know the minister responsible for this. Does anyone know? I want to vote the minister out.

Ban them, reclaim the pavements for pedestrians. I can already count on more than one hand the number of times I had close shaves with reckless speeding e-scooterists who didn't bother to check for people alighting from bus stops, or commuters moving from bus stops out to flag and board arriving busses, or pedestrians coming down from the overhead bridge onto the pavement. My own 2yr old got knocked down along a crowded Orchard Road pavement by an e-scooterist who insisted on riding despite the crowd. Geez!

Ban all forms of e-mobility devices except for the handicap. As a pedestrian on pathway I sometimes have to give way to them. This is ridiculous!

PMDs cannot be used on roads as they endanger road user and themselves. But they are allowed on footpaths and shared pathways, cycling paths and park-connector networks that endanger pedestrians. Cultivate the right culture? Who's cultivating? These E-scooter rider turn nasty or deaf ear even when pedestrians tell them nicely. They think it's their grandfather's road that pedestrians have to give way to them.
