Here's the real scoope. I live directly under the lowest of the flight pattern bordering the Deception Pass State park. ...In the the last twenty three years there we see (every) spring , summer and winter, a whole ?? (At least a dozen Eagles) and always a pair of Red tailed Hawks flying and circling all day long, very high, right in the fight patern. BUT ...what do they do when a jet come around ??? They just slowly move over and aren't disturbed one biy. SO, ...don't let anyone tell that it is bad and hurting the wildlife.

In addition to NASWI being the the primary economic driver for Oak Harbor, it also brings in a greater racial diversity and LGBTQ population. NASWI employs a large number of civilian civil servant positions as well as civilian contractors in addition to active duty Navy.
