Essential asset for the US Navy - The access to training areas makes this base and the supportive surrounding community irreplaceable.

The Navy and NAS Whidbey are integral parts of life on Whidbey Island. OLF Coupeville is essential for training carrier based naval aviators. Keep them here.

I am ex Navy and I don't understand how any American can want to change anything about NAS Whidbey Island. Let them move out of the country also.

I was present when they closed NAS Moffett Field in California and moved the flight operations to NASWI. With the Global War on Terrorism, now is the time to draw the line on downsizing our military. The recent elections were evident that the American people want a strong military and the liberals would be the first to cry fowl if their liberties were infringed.

COER is very vocal and has organized, but does not represent the majority of us on Whidbey Island who support our NAS and the professional Pilots, Sailors and base civilians who work daily to protect our country and freedom.

Rest assured that the vast majority of citizens on Whidbey Island support the base. A very focal few would benefit with closure as they decided to live near a practice field (while getting their property at a reduced rate!).

The Armed Forces are the backbone of the economy of Whidbey and the only effective protector of democracy.
