I'm tired of the people that complain as far as I see they can move away if they do not like the military maybe to the middle east

The Navy was here long before we came to the island. It has been a mainstay for our family and friends for years If the people in Coupeville don't like it, they can move. Navy was here first. They need all the support we can give them and all the training they can use to stay alive in the air or on the land. They protect us on the land, sea and air. The saying that" Freedom is not free". Those people need to realize that.

Oak Harbor, would still be a sleepy little town without the assets and income of the US Navy and Supporting Commands.

The Navy belongs in Oak Harbor and on Whidbey Island. The brave men and women of the US Navy deserve a safe environment to train and develop their skills. We are blessed to provide that home for them!! Go Navy!

My thanks to all the men and women who serve our great America in the military. We would not be here if it wasn't for them. Praise God!

The vocal minority must not succeed in their mission. This base is the lifeblood of Whidbey Island and would be an economic disaster if it was closed or flights curtailed because some very small number of residents don't "like" the noise. Get over it. It's been here for 75 years and it's going to stay!

Remember these airplanes are not flying 24-7.

As the wife of a retired Naval Aviator and ex flight attendant, I feel that the noise of the planes is highly exaggerated. Our pilots need to train here and those who complain came here long after the Navy and were warned about flight patterns when they purchased their homes.

Our military is absolutely necessary. If the planes are too noisy, move somewhere else.

I live in North Dakota, but have taken many extended vacations on Whidbey. I totally support the military. Without our military our country would not be what it is today

Being a former Marine, I understand how vital this base is to the community. The NASWI is integral to the continued growth / success of Whidbey Island.
