My family and I fully support NAS Whidbey Island, the United States Navy and all their missions and operations. I am a Retired Navy Chief with 23 years of honorable service. NAS Whidbey Island and the surrounding communities, including the school district, have an excellent relationship through partnerships and friendships.

As the son of a retired Master Chief, and a current Realtor in Oak Harbor, I have benefited from the economic engine the US Navy has provided to Oak Harbor my entire life. Not only is NAS Whidbey Island the largest employer on the island providing a massive economic impact to our community, but it's personnel provide countless community service volunteer hours to our schools and local organizations that make this a great community to raise a family. I support the current mission fully and understand the vital role it plays, and hope the US Navy will look at adding even more diversity to the missions at the installation ensuring the long term viability of the base and our community. The proactive approach being taken to address emerging health concerns relating to groundwater around OLF and Ault Field confirms the US Navy's commitment to being a good neighbor and community partner. Please keep up the good work!

The Navy has given me everything in life. My father served for 20 years, then 15 with the government. My boyfriend serving for 6 . My business consists of mostly Navy and has in Virginia and here in Oak Harbor. Thank you for keeping the United States safe and for helping other countries to stay safe as well!

Naval Air Station Whidbey Island is an integral part of Oak Harbor and Island County. We love our Military community. In addition, the negative economic impact if we didn't have NAS Whidbey Island is incalculable.

As a military spouse whose husband retired from the Marine Corps, son in the Navy and many more relatives who served their country in times of peace and of wartime, I support our military installations around the world as they keep America safe.

The military trains the best and the brightest. I wholeheartedly support NASWI now and into the future. Moreover, upon completion of the service, these veterans bring their education and training to the civilian workforce, and as law-abiding, hard-working, tax-paying citizens.

The Navy has long been a part of the community of Whidbey Island, Puget Sound and Washington State. We all love and respect having them here. The Navy and all of its related programs bring so much support to our community and all the surrounding communities it would be a shame if a few loud mouths in Coupeville would cause you to shut down the carrier jet training at NAS Whidbey Island. Please keep it open and running. My father retired to Pier 91 in Seattle back in the 60's. We were brought up in the Navy and have always had the deepest respect for our Government and all the men and women who have worked for and given their lives to protect all of us. NAS Whidbey is the life blood of the surrounding communities, please don't shut down OLF Coupeville. It is a small group of people trying to ruin a much loved and needed program. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Karen Brown

Oak Harbor has welcomed the military for seventy-five years. The town has prospered and the quality of life here is something we are very proud of. I support a strong United States Navy and it's presents here at NSS Whidbey.
