I'm a 27 year veteran. I've lived here for 31 years and raise two families here on Whidbey. Great place to live. Lets support our base and troops

I support NASWI. They are a vital part of the community and without them we would not have the best trained pilots in the world.

I love the sound of freedom in my backyard. We need the military to support our communities, most of the farms are no longer....the complainers (C.O.E.R.) are not going to give us jobs or support the economy here. I have 4 generations living on this Island and we don't want to have to leave. By the way, we grew up, literally, next to the OLF & have NONE of the mental or physical health issues that COER is claiming the Navy causes. There are more of us in support of the Navy than the handful that are against (a lot of whom moved here) knowing the base was here. They (coer) need to find somewhere else to stir up trouble. Please don't take our jobs & economical support away just because of a FEW wealthy complainers! We want the military in our backyard!

I have taught military families for almost 30 years. They are some of the bravest people in our country. We must support them in every way.

Whidbey Island is vital to the West Coast for National Security.

The Navy plane;s are so important to our area and to the nation; the noise is a small price to pay!

The location of this base provides the best environment for training. The ocean is not far and the mountains are close to. The location allows many days training. The base is a good clean, stronge community for all service men and wemen and there families. The base trains Air Force, Marines and Navey personnel all at on base. This is a good cost savings and a way for many branches to learn to work together. Thank you for taking the time to consider my thoughts on his matter.

I not only live near the base, I work on it and am in a position where I've had to interact with people across the spectrum of support for the Navy's mission here. I can say with certainty that the majority of people in the Puget Sound area support the Navy, while those who don't are in a very vocal minority; many of whom engage in continuous misinformation campaigns pushing spurious claims. But the real truth is the majority of people living here are patriotic Americans. The relationship between the base and local community is second to none - it is the model others should emulate.

I have worked here on the base for 30 years. It is the lively hood of the whole island.

I am a Retired Navy Chief, residing here in Oak Harbor. This base is desperately needed, not only to support the electronic warfare arena of the entire Navy but to support the retired community that lives within 50 miles of the base. Both Everett and Bremerton are not an easy commute and are already tasked with more personnel requirements than they can handle. Please keep NAS Whidbey Island open for all concerned. This community actively supports our base.

My husband retired from NAS Whidbey and currently works as a Civilian Contractor there. My son and grandson born there. Love this Base!!

The Navy is an important part of our community.

I full support our personnel and the bases here in Navy Region Northwest and Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. If anything we should increase budget and expand!
