We need NAS Whidbey Island! We need the training facilities, ranges and airspace that provide the exposure necessary to train our defenders.

The "Sound of Freedom" at NASWI has been here since WWII. It is Vital to training our Naval Aviators to ensure our Freedom. Proud of it!

I live in Dugaulla Bay underneath the flight path to runway 25 and have no issues with the Navy or the brave men and women who fly these aircraft and protect our freedoms. Anyone who buys a house near the flight path of military jets, and has an issue with the noise, needs to take it up with their realtor - not the US Government.

I fully support the Navy and the use of OLF Coupeville.. This is needed to fully complement the training our skilled Naval Aviators need to fulfill their mission.

When I first moved to Oak Harbor in 1967 at the age of 9 I loved the old sign "pardon our noise - its the sound of freedom". The sign was placed where the two aircraft (I guess A6 and A6B?) are along the highway today. The sound of the jets has never bothered me - even now that I live along Penn Cove, nearly in a direct line with the OLF runway!

We support the US Navy in every way possible. When I hear those Growlers working out, especially at night, I know the men and women flying them would probably prefer to be in their warm bed ... instead, they are up there practicing to protect me in some God Forsaken corner of the world where Barbaric Tribes are practicing to kill our way of life. God Bless our US Navy and the men and women that make it the strong arm of freedom that it is.

NAS Whidbey is and has been the cornerstone of the Pacific Naval Mission since WW2. It is essential to world wide naval force projection. The noise from the EF-18G is not as loud as the A-3D that was flying here when I came to Whidbey.

NASWI is very important to our national defense! We need more quality training bases like this one with increased usage not less. And BTW: The economy of Oak Harbor and Whidbey Island would completely collapse without the Navy here. The NIMBY folks protesting the Navy presense can move back to where they came from... God Bless the USA.
