I ask the Government to ensure that existing legislation surrounding religious slaughter continues to be protected and is not abused by vested interests

I am very ashamed to hear that in Britain who calls for freedom of speech and religion is becoming anti-Islamic day by day. People should others religion and tolerate differences.

if the Jewish community are allowed to use kosher methods for there slaughter I don't see why Muslim's should not be allowed to use halal slaughter without stunning.

Halal method of zabah does not permit stunning a chicken. I understand the RSPCA & National Secular Societies good intentions. However Islam does not permit it.

It's absolutely essential and basic human rights for Muslims to be able to eat non-stunned halal meats. There is significant evidence to support the method used by Muslims for slaughtering is far more painless then stunning. Therefore there is no justification for adopting or Increasing stunning as a method.
