To: Reine Shiffman, Chair, ISD 197 School Board
and Independent School District 197 School Board
We support a full rescission of the School Hour Changes for ISD 197 Elementary, Middle, and High Schools. Further we demand the School Board perform the necessary due diligence, and research the subject of school hour changes and present findings to the community for consideration and discussion. Further, that no changes to the school hours be implemented until the 2009/2010 School Year to allow for research and communication.
The feedback from parents keeps pouring in and the exhaustion in these stories is palpable. I am spending my evenings drafting formal requests to the board while waiting for them to acknowledge the disruption they have caused. This remains an uphill battle but I am not walking away from it.

They didnt listen to us one bit. Just rushed it through without thinking about how it affects our daily lives. Needs to go back to how it was.
