As a Haudenosaunee woman (Iroquois) I am deeply offended by the use of our name for a beer brand. One more step of ignorant, colonization that acts without regard to the indigenous people of this land - the land where your feet stand and also the same government by which your people appropriated.

This name is similar to if there was a grape flavored drink called "Negro-Ade". In this day and age there is no reason for continuing the practice of branding using minority names and minority likenesses

It is not proper to use "Iroquois" on a beer, The Iroquois (Haudenosaunee) people do not support this idea. Alcohol use is a huge problem among Native Americans. Soliciting beer under the name of "Iroquois" is not an example Native Americans chose for their people. It is an negative use of the word and a dishonor to Iroquois people.
