It is inappropriate and, more importantly, racist to use the name of the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) to sell alcohol, especially without their consent.

I hope that Community Beer Works will see that in seeking to make a profit off a product named for a nation of indigenous folks, is disrespectful and furthermore profiting off a group of people whom should alone be able to choose how and whom can profit from their names and cultures. Further, since the Iroquois confederacy makeup six sovereign Indian nations, it will likely be impossible to get approval from the people of all those six nations to use the name for any business purpose.

I find the name extremely deragatory and better left in the past. We are a proud people and one of our main traditional concepts is alcohol to be stayed away from. So please find a different name.
