The water has some form of discolorization most of the year. Many times the water is brown and ruins my refrigerator filter. The water is very expensive especially for such poor quality and low pressure.

The cost of water in Ironwood is terrible, when we cant even drink it or cook with it We have to buy our water So in reality we are paying for our water twice

This water problem has gone on long enough, something needs to be done. Also there needs to be a change in the deposit charged to renters. $550.00 is to much.

our water has been bad for a long time,we had to buy a filter for our kitchen faucet,can not and will not drink the waters always rusty color or yellow.its time for the city of Ironwood does something about this problem and we deserve better and the water is very expensive

The water is disgusting. who wants to wash dishes or laundry with brown water? Have to spend extra money to buy bottled water for drinking and water for the dogs. And the water bills are expensive.

My husband and I live on a fixed income and even though we drink bottled water, got new low flow toilets, we don’t have a washing machine or a dishwasher, our bill went up $25 this month and $20 the month before. Our bill is now 13% of our monthly income.

How often is our water dirty? I would estimate approximately 60% of the time. We have had hundreds of dollars worth of clothes ruined. Laundry is always a risk, because we don't know whether the water in our utility room will be clean or dirty until we risk a load. It's like a lottery, only we can never win. We can only sometimes avoid catastrophic loss. We pay ridiculously high rates for water we can't drink only to pay more for bottled water. At times the water is bad enough that we cannot use it to prepare food, bathe or even brush our teeth. I have called the city. They dispatched an employee who affirmed that I have the same issue as everyone else in the city. He apologized for not being able to fix the issue. To date, the city has not compensated us for the cost of ruined clothing or the cost of buying replacement water.

A few months ago, my (then) 12-year old daughter beamed with pride about her favorite new sweatshirt. Unfortunately, she wore that sweatshirt and had to risk washing it. Her shirt did not escape unscathed. In fact, her shirt was cleaner before we put it in the washing machine. Sadly, her shirt was permanently stained by the dirty water. I don't think I will ever forget how long and how hard she cried that night. Needless to say, I do not feel like raising our already exorbitant water rates is fair recompense for the ruined clothing. Honestly, they owe my daughter a shirt.

We've been having issues with our water at least once a month and are tired of paying for something we can't use a lot of the time.

Even if this is truly caused by just flushing the lines, that happens twice a year and the water has always been nasty for as long as I remember. I practically grew up in Ironwood and I remember when I was younger I refused to drink the water because it tasted so bad. Sad to say here I am now as a young adult and finally just maybe the problem will get the recognition and treatment/fix it should have received all those years ago!

I also live in Kennedy Street. The water is disgusting. I can't bring myself to even give it to the dogs & cat. They get our bottled water. Need to check daily if the water can be used for laundry or even doing dishes. I have also boiled water to use for dishes. Yet the prices keep going up. Ridiculous!!!
