please help to save the Iron Bridge at the Bleach Green Ardmore .The Green Road was asserted by full Council on 15th Decemebr as a Public Right of Way .Today 26-01-2010 two gates were put up by the family who want the Green Bridge demolished ,this is to stop local people and fishermen from walking through this area. One of the gates has been welded on the Drumahoe side.Cement blocks have also been put up against the bridge.

Used to walk the dog down the green road every single evening. Now i cant get past the blocks. Who do they think they are?
My granda fished there for years. Nobody has the right to just block it off and weld gates shut. Disgraceful carry on.
So much for the public right of way. Typical.
RIDICULOUS. That bridge has been there forever. Leave it alone.
Are they joking? You cant just decide a public path is gone because you want it to be. Hope the council sorts this mess out fast.

How can a 'newby' have the arrogance (and stupidity/ignorance) to try to close the connection between the 'Green Gates' and Bleachgreen, Glenkeen and Larchmount that has been used by locals for the best part of a century? Shame on them!
